Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy

Work with your subconscious mind to create conscious change.

How will Hypnotherapy support my wellbeing?

Hypnotherapy allows you to experience a deep state of relaxation which is similar to meditation and day dreaming. People often describe hypnosis as relaxing, calm and peaceful. During the session it is a time where you can focus on you and your needs. It is important to know that you will remain in control and aware of your surroundings throughout the process and when you give yourself the time to open up your subconscious mind great changes can occur.

In the hypnotherapy session you will be guided to access your subconscious mind and when this is accessed you have the ability to create change in thoughts, behaviours, feelings and actions. When in hypnosis, working with your subconscious mind, specific challenges and concerns will be targeted with resolution the intention. Hypnotherapy will enable you to comfortably explore addictions, phobias, physical pains, past traumas and habits and much more.

“As you sow in your subconscious mind, so shall you reap in your body and environment.” – Joseph Murph

“Will I remember what you said during the hypnosis session?”

Maybe! Some clients remember everything all of the time, some clients remember some things some of the time and some clients remember nothing each time. In my experience, most clients remember somethings that are said but the main thing is that whether you have conscious recollection or not your subconscious mind is always listening and it is that part of the mind that is where the change needs to take place.

“Does hypnosis work if I fall asleep?”

Yes. You do not need to have conscious awareness of what is being said. A study was carried out in 2015, on subconscious learning while sleeping, by scientist Megan Scudellari. The study revealed that the brain does not switch off during sleep, in fact it is active reviewing and storing memories. This study revealed that the brain processes auditory information whilst asleep just as it would if awake. The study also discovered that the brain actually responds preferentially to  information and engages with verbal information.

“How many session do you think I will need?”

Typically, 3 to 6 sessions. However, it all depends on the root causes that lay beneath what you seek to change. I have worked with people to overcome a needle phobia in 3 sessions but supporting someone to stop smoking will all depend the triggers, lifestyle choices and stressors so that may take a little longer.

I often combine techniques to ensure that client’s achieve their wellbeing goals as quickly as possible and offer personalised audio recordings to support that. During the initial FREE clarity call be as honest as you can about your challenges as this will help me to understand what plan of action to take to support you best.

“What does Hypnotherapy help with?”

Most things! In no particular order, I mainly use hypnotherapy to support clients with stress, anxiety, addictions, habits, motivation, confidence, grief, weight loss and management, body dysmorphia, insomnia, IBS, pain, regression and spiritual development.

I am a strong believer in paying it forward so if would like to access my services but have current financial challenges please don’t let that stop you getting in touch. I offer concessions based on individual circumstances.

Please call Rebecca on 07736 431388 or email rebecca@theholisticcoach.co.uk to inquire and book.

Rebecca was proactive in contacting me and discussing the process of the hypnotherapy session. She emailed additional information and a very detailed assessment form to complete which provided reassurance of her professionalism. At the start of the session we talked over items I had noted on the form and she highlighted what she felt to be the best approach to the appointment. I found her to be very sensitive and kind in her approach. The hypnotherapy itself was very relaxing and afterwards we were able to reflect on the session. Rebecca was also able to carry out some colour therapy work for me and give me some techniques to take away. I was happy to book another session as felt a good connection with her, even working through Zoom. Since the appointment, I have reflected further on the session and applied the advised techniques with good effect. Overall I was very pleased with my session with Rebecca and would completely recommend her.

Meeting Rebecca was in my opinion a complete lifesaver for me. She reached out when I was at my lowest with heightened anxiety and a fear of sickness. She has never once made me feel silly and has helped me to rationalise my thoughts and take control of my mind. She is so kind, calm and attentive and never makes you feel rushed during a session. She listens with interest and provides a programme of strategies that help to change your way of thinking. Rebecca WANTS to help. She wants you to spend as little time with her as that means you are on a road to recovery and control. I am so pleased Rebecca reached out when I needed help. Thank you for checking in on me from time to time between sessions – I am so grateful.
